A simple method for grouping locations, estimating travel time and keeping your anime trip enjoyable.

Start with one area, not a long wish list

Tokyo is large. Five locations in one district can be easier than three locations scattered across the city. Group your priorities by station and choose one anchor area for the day.

Build the route around real travel time

Map the station-to-station journey first, then add time for finding the exact viewpoint, waiting at crossings, photographs and breaks.

  • Choose three essential stops
  • Add optional stops nearby
  • Leave a buffer before reservations
  • Open every location in Google Maps before departure

Balance anime references with the city

A memorable pilgrimage is still a travel day. Include a meal, a park, a viewpoint or a neighbourhood walk so the route works even when one reference point has changed.
